Well we are rolling into warmer months.. or we thought we were. The weather has been crazy, one week 90's the next 36. Our fire ban is in effect indefinitely due to the crazy severe draught. SO open wood fires are out for the time being (and Jim had just put in a really neat new pit) we CAN however have a propane fire, its not like the wood with the campfire smell and warm glow.. but Jim was determined to continue having our fires for guests, as it is our favorite time spent with all of you! He went out and purchased a new Propane fire pit to get us thru until the burn ban is lifted. So the weekend fires will continue. Smores all around!!
May has kicked off to be one of our busiest months yet with only a handful of dates still available we are booking into July very heavily and even have Oct. and Dec dates in. Word has gotten around (thanks to your reviews) that Fox Mountain Inn is THE place to stay. We are so excited to see all of you newbies and all of our loyal Fox Mtn Family. We need to remind everyone we can not take reservations over Facebook. Please call our use the "Book Now" button at the top of the page.
We did our 1st guided ride of the season with our Ladies Ride, our turnout wasn't as good as expected however rain in the forecast was a factor. Our numbers for the run doubled over last year and we did have a great time! We will do it again every 1st weekend in May - so mark your calendars to join us next year.
Jim and I have been working hard at getting the event/meeting room completed by the end of the month. Our Kickstands and Coffee will be starting as soon as its finished with a open house to check it and the Inn out. We have a Tea series set up for a monthly event called the "gathering of goddesses" watch for dates to be posted on that as well with all the details. Another event we would like to do is feature local artists and crafters once a month as well. If you have any ideas of things we can do or host let us know. (my brain gets over loaded at times) lol The venue will be available to rent and packages will be posted once we are up and running.
Next years project we want to add walking trails to our back property and open that area up to guests, but that is much further down the road.
We hope travel goes well for all of our guests this year, gas prices are still up and construction on I-77 continues to be a headache for travel. Make sure to book our signature tea service for your stay. Our "Relax" tea made from our cultivated onsite flower garden has been a big hit so far with many saying they have had their best sleep after a cup matched with our comfortable beds and quiet property. We hope things continue to go well and we become your go to DESTINATION not just a stop over. Any ideas you have as guests that have stayed with us for the property are always welcomed.

Fox Mountain Inn, a charming 10-room roadside motel established in 1982 is now a destination boutique inn.
Conveniently situated at exit 84 on I-81 on historic Route 11 in Max Meadows, Virginia.
Fox Mountain Inn is family-owned and operated by photographers and avid motorcyclists, Jim and Michelle Overdorff. The Inn offers clean, quiet, and comfortable accommodations in a peaceful mountain setting. With just 10 guest rooms, we specialize in personalized service and a relaxed atmosphere where guests can truly unwind.
Conveniently located near local race venues, universities, ball fields, festivals, and regional attractions, Fox Mountain Inn is an ideal choice for business travelers, families, couples, and groups. Looking for the perfect getaway for your large group or family reunion? Our Inn offers the ideal setting, with options to rent either the entire property (10 rooms) or half (5 rooms).
Whether you're planning a girls' getaway, a golf or fishing trip, family reunion, or a motorcycle group adventure, we have the space and amenities to make your stay memorable. Book now and create lasting memories with your loved ones!
Group reservations must be made a minimum of 30 days in advance and made by calling direct for savings.
Group stays include the following: Each room has 2 double/full size beds, Microwave, Mini Fridge, Tv, table and chairs in room for 2. Outside amenities include nightly firepit fires with smores 7-10pm, picnic tables, outdoor seating, dog park area, yard games, including "bags" . Grills and cooking utensils, charcoal and table, "body size" cooler. After May you will have access to our new indoor venue area for you and your group to use. Coffee, teas, hot chocolates, hot and cold water machine, as of May 1st, ice machine for drinks, and of course Cinnamon rolls each morning!
What's Included ?
All group bookings must pay for 1st night when making reservation.
Our check in times for group stays can be altered to a 1pm check-in if requested at time of booking, so plan your reservation accordingly if you are here for an event.
Our check in time is 3pm-10pm.
We do accept cash payments at arrival, however 1st night by CC is due at booking.
*Cancellations can be made 48hrs/2 days or more before arrival date and will be refunded minus a processing fee for each room cancelled.
**Cancellations inside that window, as well as partial cancellations or early departures are non-refundable.

Dining
Currently the food truck at the stop sign is the closest place for food to the Inn. They have great Puerto Rican food. We do have several restaurant menus in the lobby of nearby places as well at exit 73 which has several of our favorites

Relax and Unwind
Relax and unwind nightly at our firepit. Mingle with fellow guests, make s'mores or just take in the peacefulness of a warm fire.
Yard games (bags, yardzee)

We have also had to implement a $25.00 charge each time you do not pick up after your pet.
Remember you are on camera while on the Inn's grounds.
Pets can NOT be left unattended unless crated. -FMI accepts NO responsibility for pets left in rooms unattended even if crated.

Our Cancellation Policy
As a small, family-owned inn, every reservation truly matters to us.
Cancellations — especially last minute — have a big impact, and we appreciate your kindness and understanding.
Individual Reservations:
If your plans change, please let us know at least 48 hours before your first night, and we’ll refund your stay minus a $15 processing fee OR you can reschedule within a 30 day window of original date at no charge .
Because we prepare each room especially for your arrival, cancellations within the 48hrs,day-of cancellations, partial cancellations, or early departures are non-refundable.
Group Reservations:
Our group rates are based on the number of rooms and length of stay. Cancellations made 48hr or more before arrival will be refunded minus a $15 processing fee per room.
Cancellations made within the 48hr period, as well as partial cancellations or early departures, are non-refundable.
