- Add the number of rooms you need
- Click on continue
- Click on the Pet add on if you are traveling with a Pet
- Check your dates at the top as well as the number of adults
- Click on continue
-National ID (is referring to your Drivers License # - Your ID is needed at check in)
- Add your address information
- In Special Request section - add any special requests and let us know an estimated arrival time
- Enter the names of each guest (it does ask for male or female as names may not signify and for contacting you we prefer
address you correctly)
- Click continue and it takes you to the payment area, which is self explanatory.
When complete you will get a confirmation - once we assign a room you will get an updated confirmation from us as well.

We have also had to implement a $25.00 charge each time you do not pick up after your pet.

Pets can NOT be left unattended unless crated. -FMI accepts NO responsibility for pets left in rooms unattended even if crated.
Spring is here! Well we have had a crazy start to our Spring, 80 degrees one day, cold and snowy the next. Gas prices have gone crazy, and travel is down. We have adjusted our weekday prices to help with all the chaos. Sun-Thursday prices start at $99.00 (with Travel Tuesdays remaining at $89.00) Booking direct with us will get you best pricing on the weekends (Friday/Sat) just give us a call. We have added a couple of amenities to the Inn. One being the ability to add a pet bed to your stay subject to availability. We are trying the new Muddy Mat Pet beds in the dog rooms to see how they go over, so far our feed back has been great. We look to have the Signature Tea service beginning April 1st. You can add it onto your reservation and sample our signature tea "Relax" sourced from flowers from our garden. We provide the tea service with 2 tea cups and carafe for your hot water and wooden spoons and two complimentary Signature tea bags. Ask us about it when making your reservation or you can add it with you reservation thru our portal. We announced earlier this month we have taken over the building that used to be the restaurant next door. We had been unable to find someone that wanted to put a diner in so we are renovating it into an event venue. (birthday parties, baby/bridal showers, memorial/celebration of life, business meetings. Group guest will have the option to add the room to their stay for their group to have a place to share their meals together, game day if it rains, and possible karaoke. We hope to have the building finished by May 1st. Memorial Weekend Dates are wide open for stays - grab your group and give us a call. The friendship garden is growing and we have added a vegetable garden as well this year and are building a sitting area in the flower meadow to the side of the property for guest to enjoy as well. So as usual things are busy around here, hoping to make Fox Mtn Inn a destination, not just a place to stop for the night. We look forward to guest feedback on all of it as please remember; Reviews are the biggest compliment you can give us, as an independent inn, word of mouth/reviews help us grow our business. Fox Mountain Inn, a charming 10-room roadside motel established in 1982 is now a destination boutique inn.
Conveniently situated at exit 84 on I-81 on historic Route 11 in Max Meadows, Virginia.
Fox Mountain Inn is family-owned and operated by photographers and avid motorcyclists, Jim and Michelle Overdorff. The Inn offers clean, quiet, and comfortable accommodations in a peaceful mountain setting. With just 10 guest rooms, we specialize in personalized service and a relaxed atmosphere where guests can truly unwind.
Conveniently located near local race venues, universities, ball fields, festivals, and regional attractions, Fox Mountain Inn is an ideal choice for business travelers, families, couples, and groups. Currently the food truck at the stop sign is the closest place for food to the Inn. They have great Portia Rican food. We do have several restaurant menus in the lobby of nearby places as well as exit 73 which has several of our favorites

Changes for 2026 for group booking are as follows:
All group bookings must pay for 1st night when making reservation. All Names, phone numbers and email for each person and who is rooming together we be needed as well. Forms are available by calling the office and emailing back. (ID's are required at check in)
Our check in times will not be altered so plan your reservation accordingly.
Our check in time is 3pm-10pm.
All reservations are to be paid in full 15 days prior to the check in date of the reservation, unless paying in cash. However 1st night by CC is due at booking.
Our group rates are based on number of rooms and length of stay. Outside of the 5/10 rooms or 3-7 nights will be at our normal fee for the dates of the reservation.
*Cancellations can be made 48hrs/2 days or more before arrival date and will be refunded minus a $15.00 processing fee for each room cancelled.
**Cancellations inside that window, as well as partial cancellations or early departures are non-refundable.

Our Cancellation Policy
As a small, family-owned inn, every reservation truly matters to us.
Cancellations — especially last minute — have a big impact, and we appreciate your kindness and understanding.
Individual Reservations:
If your plans change, please let us know at least 48 hours before your first night, and we’ll refund your stay minus a $15 processing fee OR you can rescedule at no charge.
Because we prepare each room especially for your arrival, cancellations within the 48hrs,day-of cancellations, partial cancellations, or early departures are non-refundable.
Group Reservations:
Our group rates are based on the number of rooms and length of stay. Cancellations made 15 days or more before arrival will be refunded minus a $15 processing fee per room.
Cancellations made within 15 days, as well as partial cancellations or early departures, are non-refundable.
