The start of a new year often brings fresh opportunities and improvements. At Fox Mtn Inn, January 2026 will be a time to pause, refresh, and prepare for an even better experience for our guests. We will be closed for the entire month to focus on family time and complete important renovations. This break allows us to slow down and make thoughtful updates that will enhance your stay in the coming seasons. Here’s a detailed look at what you can expect from Fox Mtn Inn in 2026.

Renovations to Improve Your Comfort

We are committed to creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. During January, we will replace all the bathroom flooring in the tub areas. This upgrade will not only improve the look but also the safety and cleanliness of these spaces.

In addition, the remaining rooms will receive fresh paint. This will brighten the interiors and give each room a renewed, inviting feel. We are also replacing the old dressers with a small custom table made by Jim, paired with comfortable chairs. This change will create a more functional and charming space for guests to relax or work.

Updated Artwork Reflecting Our Adventures

Our walls will soon feature new artwork, including photography from our own adventures. These images capture the natural beauty and memorable moments around the area, adding a personal and inspiring touch to your surroundings.

Friendship Garden and Seasonal Care

The Friendship Garden has been carefully winterized to protect it during the cold months. We welcome guests to bring perennial seeds anytime they visit to add to the garden. This ongoing community effort helps the garden grow and bloom year after year, making it a special place for everyone.

New Amenities and Wish List

While we continue to improve, some items remain on our wish list. One of these is an ice machine for the lobby, which we hope to possibly add by the end of 2026. This will make it easier for guests to access ice during their stay. Fingers crossed or maybe a Go Fund Me... lol.

We are also looking for fresh ideas for our 2026 T-shirts. If you have creative suggestions, please share them with us. Your input helps us create merchandise that reflects the spirit of Fox Mtn Inn and our guests.

Important Booking Information for 2026

Group bookings for 2026 will open on December 1, 2025. If you plan to book 5 to 10 rooms, we can email you an outline of what is needed to make the process smooth and efficient. We have made some changes to benefit all guests and staff, so being prepared will help you secure your preferred dates.

Please note that 2026 pricing has increased slightly. We believe the small change is fair and hope it will not discourage you from visiting us again.

Pet Room Booking Changes

Starting January 1, 2026, pet guests will no longer be able to book pet rooms online or through third-party booking sites. All pet room reservations must be made by calling the office directly. This policy ensures better communication and service for our pet-friendly accommodations.

Fire Ban Reminder

The fire ban in Virginia remains in effect until May 1, 2026. This means no bonfires are allowed on the property until then. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping everyone safe.

VIP Cards Now Available

Our VIP cards for the 2026 season are now on sale for $12. We have only 50 cards available, so be sure to get yours early. These cards offer special discounts that enhance your stay and show our appreciation for loyal guests.
